Please click here for directions to plan your journey from your door to the door of Gwynfryn Bed and Breakfast. Just enter your starting point in section A.

Driving directions from the East
If arriving from the East leave the A55 at Junction 18 and turn right at the roundabout onto the A546. Proceed a short distance and go straight across the first roundabout and after another short distance turn left at the second roundabout onto Conway Road (A547). Cross the bridge over the River Conwy and pass Conwy Castle on your left follow Rosehill Road around to the right onto a one way system. You will pass a car park on the left and the Conwy Tourist Information on your right. Look for the ‘Conwy Visitors Centre’ on the left and turn right immediately opposite into Church Road. Follow this small cobbled road to the end and you will see our road almost opposite slightly to the left with a red post box at the end. Turn left onto the High Street then turn ‘immediately’ right onto York Place a small cobbled road. Drive up past Alfredo’s Italian Restaurant and you will see Gwynfryn B&B on the right hand side. Although there are double yellow lines you may either stop directly outside of the B&B or park directly opposite where it states ‘Police Vehicles Only’ whilst you unload your luggage. York Place is only a small street and this is the procedure we have agreed with the local Police. We will then provide directions to Mount Pleasant Council Car Park located a 2 minute walk around the corner. This is paid parking with the following options: 1 hour £1.40 / 2 hour £2.30 / 4 hour £3.80 / over 4 hours £5.60 / 24 hours £6.00 / 6pm until 8am £1.00. Click here for full details of all of Conwy Car Parks and fees.

Driving from the West
If arriving from the West leave the A55 at Junction 17 and turn right at the top of the slip road onto Bangor Road (A547). Follow Bangor Road until you see Conwy Town Walls directly in front (under 2 miles). Upon approaching the town walls follow the road to the left into Town Ditch Road. Drive to the bottom and follow the road to the right leading you into the Town Walls and onto Berry Street. Take the second right into High Street just before the pedestrian crossing traffic lights. Drive up the High Street and look for the red post box outside the very last building on the right. This is York Place the 3rd small cobbled street on the right. This is paid parking with the following options: 1 hour £1.40 / 2 hour £2.30 / 4 hour £3.80 / over 4 hours £5.60 / 24 hours £6 / 6pm until 8am £1.00. Click here for full details of all of Conwy Car Parks and fees.

Other ways to drive into Conwy
There are a total of 4 ways in which to drive into the town walls. The main 2 have directions above but there is also the following 2 other ways you may stumble into the town:

If you end up on the Harbour front it is possible to drive through the gateway arch next to the Liverpool Arms. From here drive straight across and up the High Street continuing with directions above.

At the top of the town there is a gateway arch coming from Sychnant Pass. Upon entering the town follow Uppergate Street to the bottom where you will see The Albion Ale House. Turn left onto Bangor Road and drive out of the Town Walls and then turn immediately right onto Town Ditch Road and the follow the above directions.

Driving in Conwy Town
Conwy is a small medieval walled town with some small cobbled streets and can sometimes be a little tricky to drive around. Most of the town is under a one way system which can sometime mean driving around a couple of times to find your location…although as Conwy is only a small town this will only take a few minutes! We are located on York Place, a small cobbled street at the top of the High Street.
