Reaching Conwy Via Train

Conwy Train Station is located across Lancaster Square, two minutes walk from The Hidden Chapel & Gwynfryn B&B. On the North Wales Coast Line with services to the Ferry Port town of Holyhead and giving links to all UK major Cities.

Conwy Train Station is an unmanned railway station with no option for purchasing tickets. Ticket purchases/collections must be done at the nearby Llandudno Junction Train Station (see below). PLEASE NOTE: Conwy Train Station is a ‘requested stop’ which means you must advise the onboard train conductor that you wish to get off at Conwy Train Station or being visible on the platform when the train is due to arrive (there is an electronic board advising when the next train is due).

Llandudno Junction is the nearest main Railway Station and is approximate  1 mile away from Conwy. There is a more regular service to this Station and it can easily be reached with a train from Conwy Train Station, a short bus journey from Conwy, Taxi (approx. £4) directly from/to The Hidden Chapel & Gwynfryn B&B or a 10-15 minute walk. Arriving from the West (Holyhead):
Leave the platform via the exit in the railings into the car park. Walk up the slope/ramp towards Rosemary Lane and turn right to face Rose Hill Street. Look across Rose Hill Street and you will see Lancaster Square with the statue of Prince Llewellyn. Look past this and you will see Alfredo’s Italian Restaurant (large black & white building) and we are located next door with a large sign on the gable end of The Hidden Chapel & Gwynfryn B&B.

Arriving from East (Chester):
There are two ways to depart the platform. The quickest is up the metal steps/stairs up to the street (Rosemary Lane) and turn left. To avoid the stairs you can depart the platform via the slope at the opposite end and follow the path around to the right and upon reaching the road turn right. Walk to the end of Rosemary Lane and look across Rose Hill Street and to your left and you will see Lancaster Square with the statue of Prince Llewellyn. Look past this and you will see Alfredo’s Italian Restaurant (large black & white building) and we are located next door with a large sign on the gable end of The Hidden Chapel & Gwynfryn B&B.
